The Big Move

The house is getting empty! We have been getting rid of all of our furniture for our cross country move from Chicago to Oregon. We have found a cute house to rent in Forest Grove east of Portland. It is 30 minutes away from Beaverton witch is listed as one of the top 100 best places to live in this country.

We will only be taking a dresser I worked my face off to restore and a case Roger got me as a gift. The rest of the furniture has been sold or given away. I am really looking forward to redecorating a whole house.

I have had to put a hold on art. Getting things shipped to our place can have complications when we only have 7 days left in the place. When we get to Oregon I would like to get some basil and rosemary essential oils to make candles with. I think these smells are going to be fantastic. I will also be finishing up my stamp project. I have these amazing eco friendly custom made stamp handles coming from http://www.etsy.com/shop/ARemarkYouMade . They are SO beautiful and I can not wait to finish them up. I really think I have gotten the hang of stamp carving and I want to make a little garden series with flowers, snails and dragonflies.

Keep an eye on this blog. I will be updating you all on our move and posting pictures. We are taking a northern rout and will be passing through the Bad Lands and Montana. It should be a stunning drive.

OOO Pretty!

This is a pattern I carved out of the stamp making materials. Then I stamped it on vellum and added it to one of my hand made candles. I really love it!
